Well, someone here probably got a good deal. I was looking at that all day at work. I'm sure with some fine steel wool that would have cleaned up pretty well.

Yea, when I saw that it was allready gone, looked like it was rails, ext backrest and luggage rack. A little brillo soap pad and some TLC, I bet would bring it back to good life! Not new, but ----

04-3,200 miles bought July 2011 with 928 miles. Loaded with acessories to many to list here, see my albums for more details! I also make a custom tank bib specific for the 750 if anyone is interested, ck my albums for some pics.

Wonder why that didn't turn up in my search? Thought I had everything covered. I've noticed that before though.

Nice to know that stuff can get cleared up. I have no experience cleaning rusty parts.

Probably the first thing to rust is the weld joints, plus todays chrome is not as thick or good as the old days. Once the oxidation process starts it is hard to keep in ck. Constant cleaning and polising, waxing, buffing ect. helps to keep it in check.
