Bad luck

Got some bad news today, getting my "new" bike registered will be over 500$, that with the repair bills is going to be a little too much for me.

As such, I'm going to setup a paypal and try to part out this bike to recover some of the cost myself and my girlfriends dad put into it.
The bike is fully stock, and it ran besides the poor tires and leaky carbs. If anybody needs parts, let me know how much you're willing to pay, and I'll see what I can do once I get a paypal setup. The seat is trashed, paint is flaking on the gas tank W/ rust on the inside, I DO have a key for it though, and the buttons were a little sticky for the controls. Other than that, the bike runs
(When put together) and sounded great. The turn signals are also broken

Motor shows only 12k miles

She'll get her name when I've got her movin~~ 1986 VN750, 12k miles, just waiting for her parts

Yea man, my girlfriends dad never non-opped it since he planned on fixing it. Over 330$ in late fees since 2010 :/ if I didn't have to replace the tires, fix the carb, and the other small things I would still fix it. I just don't want to risk putting that money into it and end up that deep in the hole if more is wrong with it

That's a good idea Wolfie, I'll look into that. I've got some time before I'll be able to strip the bike and actually send out parts, so send me lists and if I can't find a way around the registration the whole bike will be up for grabs. Really a bummer the reg is so much, was really lookin forward to havin my first bike as a project/experimentation ride.
