Reed Valve Hose (KW Part# 92059-1618)

I am looking to replace my reed valve hose, KW Part# 92059-1618. I know a lot of you take it off or marble it, but I just want to get my bike back to 'stock' prior to doing anything to it.

Right now mine is cracked to the point it is unusable, and the bike occasionally backfires during starting, which I could possibly attribute to this hose.

Since a bunch of you take it off, does anyone have a spare you're looking to get rid of? If so, let me know.

My thanks

If you can tell me specifically where this part is - I probably have one.
I am parting out my entire bike - unfortunately it is worth more as parts.

It's the hose that connects to the reed valve of the rear cylinder. If you don't have it, I do.

My bike is original stock, P/O Coaster-ed it by removing hoses (your split one) and capping the hose connection with a cap (shaped like a cooking sauce pan w/o the handle). Secured with a strong Ty-Rap (fence tie). Inexpensive ! That is _very_ close to stock... reed valves could create possible problems ... No ?

Thanks for all the responses so quickly. By the time I ordered my new spark plugs you guys had responded.

Here is a post that has an image with the hose in question circled for Andrewr. https://www.vn750.com/forum/showpost....22&postcount=5

It's not overly expensive new ($10+ship) but I'd rather give something to a member here than some store.

WilliamTech: I was considering just throwing caps on it but I'm kind of at the stage to where I just want it assembled properly, and I'll work from there. I know probably the incorrect way to handle it but it's just kind of my mentality.

Canadian vn750`s came without any of the emissions control crap on the bike, and had coasters installed in place of the reed valves right from the factory.

JMHO, but save the 10 bucks and just cap the reed valves.

Where is a good place to get a set of coasters for our bikes? Does the forum generally agree these are good? http://www.mobbley.com/product/5510

Thanks everyone, and sorry for the 100 questions.

Those look like the right ones.
Before ordering those, take a look at the ones that scootergptx`s friend made:
