WTB headlight dimmer switch

Just wondering if anyone has an extra headlight dimer switch - mine only works on Hi beam and I am told by the parts guys that I am looking at buying a whole switch assembly at over $100 - well that's definitely not in the budget. At present I am riding on high beams all the time.

That can't be my bike - it aint movin'

HI Guys- Actually the high beam works fine - but the low beam is very weak - it is not off altogether - but low enough that it lights up the headlight failure indicator on the control panel. I first put a new PIAA bulb in thinking it was the bulb - then since that didn't change anything I went in and used contact cleaner on all of the connections in the headlight assembly but that didn't help any - sooooo I took it over to Kawi - and they said that it was probably the dimmer switch.
That's when I started looking for a switch - I would take it apart but - if I kill it I can't ride till I get another one.

That can't be my bike - it aint movin'

Is it an out door bike, in the weather, rain snow, etc? It may be a little rust on the contacts.

That's what I was thinking - I just didn't want to pull the switch and have it break on me without a backup - The bike was apparently kept outside under a cover by the previous owner

take the switch apart and make sure that is your problem... if you just want to replace it, I have a set of switches and controls I will let go for $100, I am posting them to eBay on Saterday for $150 plus shipping starting bid. They are in great condition, I just want something different on my bike, with every thing else I have been doing, Black just doesn't look good on the handle bars.
