Right Side Heat Shield

I am looking for a heat shield for the right side of my '86 750. If anybody knows where I can find one I would appreciate the help. It doesn't need to be showroom condition...that would just make it stand out against the rest of my bike!!

Hey Rob, I see you've been here for a couple weeks. How about introducing yourself in the Newbie check-in forum and letting us know a little about ya. Especially where you're from. Someone might have the shield close by and you could pick it up and avoid shipping cost.

I just went with an aftermarket universal one. Works just fine

Look here. They say they're 7" long, but buyers say 6". http://www.jcwhitney.com/UNIVERSAL_H...;0;2015040;0;0

I'm keepin' all the left over parts. I'm gonna use 'em to build another bike!

My ride side head shield just broke. The clamp itself is fine but the part that actually attaches to the pipe which contains the grove broke off. Seems to be in decent shape so I am considering getting it re-attached. Best to get it re-welded, use bondo, or buy an aftermarket replacement? Looking at the JCWhitney page those options look nice, anybody know what size is appropriate?

Thanks!

I think I just posted to you in the stator thread about these. Well just in case...

Good looking shields at a decent starting price:
