Hey all, I'm selling off my Vulcan. I tried starting it today and it just refused to, which I believe is just a carb issue, but I'm tired of fixing it as often as I've had to. I'd rather it go to someone who can value it more than me. I can also part it out if nobody takes the full thing, but it is a working bike that just needs a carb cleaning that I'm far too busy to take care of.
I'm in the Virginia Beach area.
Am I doing this right? Haha I've never really sold a bike before.
Hey again! Okay, so I'm looking to get about $1,500 for the bike. It is currently not starting due to either a clogged carb or spark plugs needing replaced. Its mileage is 38,480. It has saddlebags, a saddle men seat liner, chrome covers for the horn, chrome brake reservoir cover, chrome oil reservoir cap. The tank also has a lining in it that is still holding up. The decals on the tank are starting to get ugly though, and are not original.
Let me know if you need any more information. Reply here, send me an email at dunthyon@gmail.com, or text me at 757-774-3520. Thanks!
The problem with starting is most definitely the spark plugs which are over a year old. They are black and fouled. If I get the bike running I'll still be selling for 1500 or so.
Bike has been sold! I recommended the gentleman to this forum for any questions he may have in the future. Thankfully was able to fix all the bike's issues before sale, and he seemed very happy to get the same model he learned on for his son.
As of now though, I don't have much purpose here but to lurk and offer advice.
