ISO Engine Guard

Just bought an 03 last week for my girlfriend's first bike. She's ridden it in the parking lot and went on her first ride on the road today. I'd love to get an engine guard for the bike. It took a dirt nap today in some deep rocks in my parent's driveway (she's still learning). No harm done as she had gotten the bike completely stopped. I'd like to take some preventative measures before the next low speed drop/tipover. If anyone has a line on some bars, I'd be most appreciative! Thanks...

Can't help you with a guard, but good to have you here.

You might look online for a crappy bike being sold that has a guard on it. I found one of those and bought the OEM Fire & Steel guard off the bike for $50. I had zero interest in anything else on that awful bike. My daughter happened to be visiting in the area and picked it up for me, so I didn't even have to pay for shipping. There's a little rust that I'll try to clean up, but I'm pretty excited about it. She'll be returning tomorrow, and I'm only slightly more excited to see her than to get the guard

GDI, thanks and glad to be here!

readparse, I'll be looking. Not much locally on CG at the moment. There is an OEM one on eBay right now. Rusted, scraped, AND BENT, for $119.99
I'm not that desperate yet. ;-)

Wow, bent, huh? You would think that would reduce its asking price somewhat.

I'm not sure if you're still in the market for an guard, but i just took mine off to put my V&H pipes on. I'd be willing to part with it if you're still interested.
