Re: 10% discount to Bikercom.com

My complaint with Bikercom is that I ordered crash bars, they charged my credit card, a month later I still didn't have them, was told it was because they were on back order & Bikercom had no idea when they would come in. So I told them forget it & got my money back.

Thumbs down Re: 10% discount to Bikercom.com

Won't use them again. Ordered a luggage rack, came in slitely bent and with screws missing. Emaild them and basicly got told, "To bad for you, we are professionals and don't lose screws or send bent items" I couldn't even get screws from them so they all matched. They were allen heads that the hardware stores don't carry.
In other words, buyer be aware!

Re: 10% discount to Bikercom.com

I have the F&S saddle bag standoffs and TS relocater kit so the bolts HH include for the front of the HH rack would not work. I could not get the bolt I needed at any local store so I ordered from Boltdepot.com. If you want them to all match, you could order from there as well. I don't think the bolts HH give you are the right length anyway (not long enough).

For the the thread depth of the front bolt, the longest I could find locally was a 90mm bolt partially threaded. The threads went all the way in without touching the fender and was too short. I ended up needing a 110mm bolt for the front. For the rear bolt, I ended up using a bolt from boltdepot which was in between the two different length included with the luggage rack. With that setup, the rear has about 2 threads sticking into the inside of the fender (it goes completely through it).

Re: 10% discount to Bikercom.com

Bolts were another issue you just reminded me of, they didn't fit so I had to use hex in the rear and socket up front (which barely fit)

I had the same exact issue, but I went to the mom&pop hardware store about a mile away and found the exact bolt I needed. It actually took me longer to find the bolt than to install the rack.

Re: 10% discount to Bikercom.com

I'll never do business with them again. Here's why:

1. Paid website price for item and shipping. Claimed they never got payment via paypal. Then sent email stating they had no part at that price. Quoted me lower price plus shipping and a couple of days later found my payment and charged me the highest price.

2. Charged me twice for the same product on consecutive days. Claims they only got one payment. Had paypal send email to verify double payment, yet still no response. Disputed charge with my credit card company.

3. Shipping charges are so high that if you decide the part was not for you it costs BIG bucks to send it back.
