Well Jerry if you read the post it was not running rich, the flange inside the rubber base on the Emgo filters were blocking the ports at the mouth of the carbs preventing vacuum to fully open the vacuum valve. I guess you just saw the K&N and went into K&N bashing mode. K&N's do not have a flange on the inside of the base, the base is the problem not the filter media.

If you read the post completely you would have also seen the we rejetted several times with the emgo filters with the same end result.
