I wonder how many are registered more that one time...
I know when I changed ISPs, sometimes times it was easier re-register under another user name and carry on, rather than try to get it streightened out by the forum...

Not sure, but if you go read a few threads, and count up members posting, we have about 30 people that are "active"...and some which post infrequently.

Alot of those members no longer visit the site , or do so very rarely. Most that leave do not remove themselves, so it be kinda hard to get a realistic figure on how many actual lurking and recently posting folks there are.

The 6000 figue is kinda like a counter on a turnstile that shows the total number of folks that have passed through it, where they go from there is not recorded.

Perhaps one of our moderators could dig up a number on that.

OK while 6K is an impressive number I think KM is right they come in look around and move on.

To be honest, if we had all 6K members chiming in on everything all the time we'd hate it here. We like this place because it is a relatively small community of contributors.

I joined the VROC forum and the Honda Aero 750 forum, and read everything I could on those sites before I found this forum. Since I found this forum dedicated to my bike, the Vulcan 750, I have hardly been back to the others at all. I enjoyed the other sites while I was there, but they don`t have much to offer me now that I`m here. So maybe they feel like guys like me have abandoned them.

I'm pretty new here, but in my opinion, you are all correct. As awsome as this forum is, I think that some people get board with it or just get distracted with the battle of life, everyone has their own reason. The bike does seem alittle small for tall or experienced riders (I know, I know, bite my tongue) and trade them in for bigger bikes. This is my first street bike and although I'm really happy with it, at 6'1" 210lbs I could easily see myself on an 1100 or a 1500 cruiser someday. This will always be the bike that got me "hooked". It's a great bike! Just the fact that almost 6,000 people have traveled through this site says alot about it!

2003
Name: "Bike"
*Battery connected at both ends!
*Real air in the tires
*New Registration sticker
*Seat wiped off
*Low AND Hi beam headlight!
*New #1157 tail light bulb
*Brake pedal still on the right
*Custom valve stem caps made from black plastic!
*Custom built ignition key from Kawasaki
Does anybody really care?

This is a great site. What makes it the greatest is because we own and love the VN750. I think that's the glue that keeps us together. Years ago when I bought my first Vulcan 500 I joined VROC. Now that I bought the 750, this is the place for me. My VROC number is 389 so you can tell how long ago that was since they're up in the high 20Ks. Don't go there much any more. Same here, once someone sells his or her 750 they probably move on.
