Vulcan 800 seat for my 750?

I saw this listing on my local CL. I was wondering if this seat would be a straight fit? I was planning to ride there and just swap parts. Could his be done or am I needing to do some fabrication?

will fit, but fabrication will be required

only vn700/750 seats will fit the bike without modification/fabrication

a common swap that takes little modification are vn900/mean streak seats

Now, we talking welding brackets so the seat has something to sit on? It won't just fit in place so I can at least make it home? Was going to swap seats with the guy. So if it would at least be rideable to get home that would be awesome.

Hmm, ok I'll have to see if the guy is down for the swap. I do see a bunch of 900 seats. They look pretty nice.

I found a VN1500 seat fits well on my 750.....
As I remember, just transferred the rear bracket (or did I manufacture one?) to the rear of the 1500 seat....front of seat wedges down snugly/nicely touching fuel tank.
