no vn spares in South Africa

Dear Friends, I recently bought a vz 750 vulcan which stood for more than 2 years in Capetown South Africa. As the entire range of 700 and 750 vn,vz were never imported into South Africa and is considered an "grey import" the official Kawa dealers do not carry any spares as the consider all "grey imports" as opposition. I bought this bike for the equivalant of US &350 and intend referbusing it for my girlfriend. I,m 55 and have an 1000cc Yamaha thunderace. I am desparetly in need of a hydraulic lifter as that is the only problem between the 750 and a very happy girlfriend. I have tried cleaning the lifter but to no availe. If somebody out ther can help please contact me via e mail on [email protected] maybe we can swop for a few bottles of some of the best wines in the world. I live smack centre in the heart off the winefarms

Sorry buddy, I don't know what a lifter is and I don't drink wine. Just beer and whiskey. Good luck though, I hope it all works out. If you get it done, post some pics here, we'd like to see it...
