Question Ignition lock, and gas cap compatibility.

Hello, im new to the forum and to Vulcan world as well, i have a simple question.
lost the key of the bike, and every one around Las Vegas (where i live) is asking 200$+ to make a key for the bike, so i found online a ignition, gas cap and helmet lock around 100$ but they are from a 2005 Vulcan 750, my bike is an 2003 Vulcan 750.
question is:
will this ignition and cap form a different year will fit my bike, they look identical and are also one key for everything like my bike, but i rater ask people who knows before i buy something i may not need.
Thanks

Just to satisfy my curiosity, how were you planning on removing the existing cap and helmet lock without a key?
Not impossible, just difficult. there is a roll pin that can be punched out if you have the right size drift, and the gas cap will pop off, with mounting flange still screwed to tank.

I had spare keys made by Motorcycle Key Blanks, Honda, Ducati, Kawasaki Motorcycle Key Blanks, Scooter, ATV Keys Yamaha, Keys4UrRide.com. If you know the key code they will cut a new blank. I had two made so I had plenty of spares.
