Driveshaft-Spline Spring-??

OK-I lubed the rear splines last year when I put a new rear tire on but don't remember any spring...... CRS or whatever I intend to check and make sure the spring did not fall out and roll off into never never land...
So the spring should be in the rear end of the shaft right...
And should I pull the shaft and lube the front, I only did the rear the last time???

The spring goes in the rear. Lube front splines and u-joint.

Thanks Lance, thats what I thought, and I guess I really do need to lube the front splines as all I did last year was the rear splines...
Does the shaft just pull out and lube and stick back in...????

Pull the shaft out, slide the boot off of the bevel gear to help install the shaft.

The front splines are not as important, you can just pull the rubber boot back and spray in some white lithium grease.
If you lubed the rear with good Molly then you should be good for 10,000 miles.
I did mine every other year and it was good when I removed it.
