Stay Positive...

I heard it was going to be 47 and sunny today in Philly. Well its not, its gonna be 50 and sunny today!! Yeah today will most definitely be my first ride of '09. Yesterday I had to take one of the helicopters to Pittsburg to get her looked at and once the heat was on in the cabin, it was actually a pretty nice ride, even took my coat off. Today its going to be 50 and I get a break from Winter and get to take Sable out. If this is what Winter is going to be like, maybe its not that bad. There are apparently moments of levity and no matter how brief, if you nurse them for every damn thing they're worth, stuff doesn't seem that bad. Just tryin' to stay positive...

It was still in the 60's when I rode home last night. (10pm)

When I was getting ready to leave this morning (58), I heard a bike in the distance. Thought to myself, I didn't hear you yesterday morning when it was 35. Cold front comes through tonight, and we'll be in the mid 40's Saturday and Sunday. Luckily I've got to go somewhere, so I couldn't ride anyway.

Got one on mine, and I love it. Takes a little getting used to stepping on and off the bike.

Here's a link. http://www.protac.net/9501.html

I'd have to look and see if mine is that brand. PO had installed it. Took it off for about 3 months. But my back was acting up again, so I put it back on. Gonna leave it on now.

Gonna be awhile yet for that first '09 ride here. Temp dropping below 0 again at night and highs in the single digits for a lot of next week. Not expecting a first ride until late March or early April. An occasional visit to the dealer to look at bikes and maybe buy a piece of gear helps.... a little anyway.
