On to the next project

Thanks to AJ, got the de-goat done Saturday evening. Sounds good to me. Louder, but not obnoxiously loud, and will be a big help in traffic. Also picked up the tank bolt collar that was missing when I bought the bike. Now mind you, I had the tank off about 2 weeks ago and looked around for anything that may have caused any rattles. Didn't see anything. When I was taking the exhaust off to replace the manifold gasket, I had to loosen the crash bar too. From somewhere, the missing collar falls on the ground. Oh well, got a spare. Still getting a little too much noise from the ACCT, so while we were out Sunday, bought some Lucas red grease. Figured that would be another weekend project. But after seeing Kanuck's homemade MCCT, I may be going that route. That's looks like a pretty simple (and cheap) fix, so I'll have enough time to shave the tail lights.

Oh, then I need to replace the mirrors, and after that....

Now at this point is usually where the wife steps in and says enough already. But I think the fact that my fuel bill has gone from 70+ dollars a week down to about 40, including gas I put in the truck, she's a little more lenient.

Or, she hasn't seen the credit card statement yet.
