Reading my plugs

Take a look my plugs. Setup is earshaved via k&n pods, reed valves are capped off -STOCK jets. Pretty sure this indicates mild lean right? Runs fine.

Looks a bit sooty, but yeah, lean. Been using iridium plugs for so long I forgot what regular ones looked like...

My iridium plugs are supposed to get here today. Which means I'll switch them tonight. I'm interested in seeing the business end of my now-installed plugs since they've never been out of the bike.

The "super white" do appear to be too lean. What is the actual gap on the plugs? I run iridium also but that doesn't mean the others won't work just fine. I forgot how low your bike's mileage was.

I will add the ngk iridium plugs once i get the jets and adjusment figured out for sure.

These plugs were not pulled after load/throttle shutoff but after idling.

One cylinder seems much sootier. What causes that anyway?

If I can split a case and make it work - you can too!

I've got my original ones out (a little over 10,600 miles) and they look similar to yours, except for the sooty one. I did take some pics but this computer just recently switched to Windows 10 and I can't seem to find a "My Computer" portion. I'll have to figure this out as to how to download pics. But anyway, I suppose mine is a bit lean also.
