Bought a 1987 Kawasaki Vulcan 750 today.

I bought a 1987 kawasaki Vulcan 750 for $350. I bought it with knowledge of it needing some TLC to get it on the road. It runs and drives though.

It needs new tires and front wheel bearing done which Ill have done at a shop.

The other problems are the throttle sticking a bit so I ****ed with the cable and now I pulled a bunch out from the throttle and now there's a bunch of extra line hanging out. The break light only works when I use the rear brake, not the front. And the clutch lever feels a bit heavy on the pull. I'll probably have to do some work on the carbs because it has a new set of pipes and I don't know if the previous owner rejetted them.

I'm just wondering where is the best place to buy parts for the bike and any tips.

First...You should take it to a shop and have them fix it, as it sounds you have no idea what you're doing..."extra line"?

Second, you should post an introduction in the Newbie Check-In section and tell us more about you and the bike.

Third, you post seperate questions about the bike in the proper forums.

Thanks. And welcome to the site.
