Is motoseal, yamabond and three bond 1194 the same?

So i am researching sealers for case halves and read a lot of conflicting things. I know yamabond is recommended.

Permatex's motoseal is like half price and lance has an ancient post saying they are all the same (whether conext was in terms od effect or actual substance i dont know)

Any use motoseal? Ive heard of a lot common leaks with the ultra black.

Yama bond is only about $8 if you buy it with the rest of your parts from partzilla.

Unfortunately i already placed a big order with cheapcycleparts yesterday. (I noticed their website and catalouge/inventory system is a total clone of some others so i wonder if some are shared business or something).

A few cover gaskets i got non-oem ebay that were way cheaper but likely still better than my first homemade attempt.

We have amazon prime so i took a gamble on the motoseal ultra grey.

Q: the manual says to only put liquid gasket on one side of case.

Motoseal directions say put on both halves. Does it matter?

I dont want to use too much and make a mess and have motoseal loose in case.
