Fatality near me...

Hunterdon couple die in motorcycle crash: http://www.nj.com/news/ledger/jersey...810.xml&coll=1

Happened 3/4 of a mile up the road from me. I went there today to take a look at the intersection and it's clear to the left and right for at least 1/2 mile.

I suspect the kid driving the PU didn't see the bike and just pulled out right in front of him.

theres been a lot around here this year, last week a biker came up over a hill and was surprised by a mattress in the road. haven't heard the update yet but last I heard he was still critical. about a month ago I popped up over a hill and had to swerve to miss a pallett in the middle of the road. damn cagers, if I have a load on my truck I keep a very good eye on it, I know stuff happens but at some point you would think they would miss it and go back and at least get it out of the road!!!!

There's been a lot of bike related incidents around my town lately.
One was a lady biker, who was shot while riding. She was also pregnant!
Seems it was a stray shot from some gun club nearby
She thought it was a rock that hit her at first.
And MANY accidents.

BE CAREFUL OUT THERE PEOPLE!!!!!!

This is just an open appeal to all members here...

Please stop posting links of photos, news stories , whatever of motorcycle accidents. If it is not you or some one you know, keep it to yourself.

Most riders get bombarded enough from the non riding sector with horror stories of folks that got killed, hurt or maimed somehow on a motorcycle.

Lets not start doing it to ourselves. Really do not want to hear about someone elses accident or fatality unless it is someone I at least know or someone the person reporting the incident knows.

This forum should not be the place to read about bikers getting hurt unless it is a member here.

Thanks,

KM

Thanks KM.

One of the guys I work with knew and had ridden with this couple. As you can imagine when it hits close to home (literally and figuratively) he has been pretty shaken by it. That being said I spoke with him on Monday and he said he and his wife talked about selling his bike (a brand new Road King) and decided to keep riding. As he said, "Stuff is going to happen. But we can't live out lives in fear of what might happen."
