Blue Loctite On Tool Box Lock Threads

Greetings to All,
I recommend applying Blue Loctite to the threads of the lock on the toolbox attached to the seat backrest and check it periodically. The nut will tend to work itself loose and the lock will fall out. It happened to me on my first Vulcan 750. The last one that I bought had a loose nut when I checked it. Glad I caught that one in time.
Regards,
Sam

Thanks for the review of a tip. This has been discuss on here before and must of us just use/used a small amount of Silicone. Last time I checked silicone was cheaper than Loctite, regardless of color.

One can also use said silicone on the swing-arm caps to keep from lossing those too.

if it goes vroom or boom, I LIKE IT!

Yes, and that's why we suggest everyone read this post:

I think silicone on the lock was my #2 there...

And it's not bad idea to back up the hinge of the door with duct tape. The more you use the box the more likely the stupid plastic hinge will break apart.
