We just had a handle bar comparison thread a week or so ago, although we didn't get into much measurement. There are a couple photos though that may help you, I can't check mine, because this thread is how we determined mine are already aftermarket. There are some pics of stockers though-

Handlebar thread-click here!

And welcome to the group. Feel free to post up some pics of your bike too.

If I'm not mistaken, the stock bars rise 8 inches.

When you post a message, if you look at the top of the window where you type the message, you will see an little yellow icon that looks like a mountain in it. It is a tool to use to insert a photo - if you have it on a site on the web such as Photobucket or something.

First, I don't know exactly how to measure rise but here is what I did... I measured from the top of bar on the bottom to the top of the bar on top keeping the tape vert. and not following the bar, I got +/-9"... I am not sure that they are not 8" rise, but am sure they are not 1 ft... Now as to the reaching, have you loosened the bars and pulled them back to you a bit???
I don't know if I'm a washin er hangin out but, HTH...

Holy ****, a Vulcan with white walls. We were just discussing that the other day too! LOL!

And those don't look like stock bars.

BTW, how about some close up shots of "whatever that is" on the side of the engine, and those lower fork tubes too! I'm intrigued....I see a chrome skull under the headlight...we need some detailed shots, you got some goodies on that bike!
