Question A question on the glove box.......

I have been wondering about this for years. If you open the glovebox and look inside at the two bolts that connect to the seat, you'll see to the lower left and the lower right of the bolts, two plastic bosses that stand out facing towards you. They seem to suggest that something snaps-in to them. Any ideas as to what these are for or what goes there?

On my bike there is a small bungee strap that clips onto them and it holds the tool kit (which also was in the compartment) snug against the back so it doesn't rattle all over.

Interesting. I bought mine new in '06 and my tool kit was just lying inside it, no bungee strap. I might try gerry-rigging something like that to see if I like it.

Thanks folks. I'll rig up something. I guess someone took it upon themselves to... um.... confiscate my original thingy when it was still on the showroom floor. As things go, it's no great harm.
