There are a lot of acronyms used here and for a newbie "I" get a little lost.
IS there a list somewhere?
Goat-degoated= I think it has something to do with the exhaust
Acct =Dont have a clue
R/R= remove and replace? re position, rectifer?
Drilled= drilling a muffler somehow some way?

There are many more, I just cant think of them off the top of my head.
While I'm at it, is there any one place to go and discover how to do several of the above?

The Verses forum, down the menu about mid way. It's a "read only" forum, meaning you can't post in there, but all the info you're looking for is covered.

Acct = automatic cam chain tensioners
coaster = replacing the reed valves with metal block off plates
goes to prove that the only stupid question is the unasked one, I've been around here for a while and every now and then there's some abbreviation that stumps me for a while too.

87 vn750at least that is what the frame #'s say

Coastered and marbled refer to 2 different methods of bypassing the emissions gadget that causes the bike to pop on decel. MF is another one that appears often. The most common usage is Maintenance Free know the other one that has nothing to do with the bike I'm sure. The ones that got me were IIRC and AFAIK, If I Remember Correctly and As Far As I Know, respectively. Sometimes it's worse than trying to read text messages from my kids!!

Just remembered two more.

ATGATT, All the gear, all the time. Means just what it says, gear up for every ride, no matter how short. Just going down the street to the sandwich shop for lunch? ATGATT.

SWMBO - She Who Must Be Obeyed, referring to the poster's wife.
