what to do about deadbeat itrader?

forum member advetised an item as "in excellent condition" pictures did not show damage. I paid, when item was recieved I complained, seller said he would refund if i returned item, I returned it, no refund. I have pm-d him several times, no response. Anything i can do? I think other members should be aware of this jerk.

Is there an email link in his profile? Some folks aren't as addicted to the Forum as others (ha ha) and don't check their pms very often. Also, 'tis the season for folks to go on vacation. See if you have alternative contact info for him first.

The I-trader thing can be used for positive, AND negative experiences...

It's pretty ****ty when it goes bad, especially within a small community such as this one, and unfortunately, there really isn't much you can do to fix your own problem, but just warning others is as far as it can be taken.

I've read on other forums about getting with the post office and doing something about an internet fraud thing, but I've never done it, I don't know how, or whats involved or even the particulars. If you paid with an online service or credit card, they might be able to help.

Good luck with whatever you do.

WoW, Yeah if someone here is being "bad" Then he/she should be punnished. We reguard our selves as good peoples. I would only hope that this is a missunderstanding. Vac, ect. If it turns out to be other wise ( which it sounds like time has already been spent here ) , I think we should know who it was. Then we could eliminate future $#!%. K.

Well you made me check my PMs, didn't have any, but the point is, who knows when I checked it last...... Lets hope that's the problem with the seller, but if you are sure it is not something like that, and they are just plain beating you I think we should know who it is, as we don't want to do that kind of bussiness with them either...

One of the reasons I like using paypal or a credit card. Doing refunds with paypal takes a little bit (usually about 4-5 days( but is easily done. Also if you complain to paypal they act as a mediator for you and will get the finds back but it has to be within 30 to 45 days.
