Air Filter(s)?

I have an 1985 VN750. I haven't pulled anything apart and was wondering if there are 1 or 2 air filters? Also can anyone confirm if the part number for the air filter for an 85 is 11013-1122?

Thank You
Dan

And yep, there are two filters.
Behind each of the plastic chrome covers on the left & right of the bottom front of the fuel tank.

Hope that doesn't confuse you as much as it did me as I was writing it!! LOL

The local dealer quoted me $51.74 unless they come 2 to a package that would be over $100.00 for two &%$^@ filters. There has to be a cheaper place to get them.

That's why some here refer to them as "stealers" ... just looked them up on cheapcycleparts.com and the elements are only $15 each. But if you need more than that, hook up with someone doing an ear shave, they won't be needing them .... just an idea.

That sounds about right for a pair, at full retail. Ron Ayers has them at $17.xx apiece; add shipping, and you'd come out a little cheaper than your local stealer, but not a lot.

The dealer didn't say the price was for a set, I can check with them to see if it was.

I also heard or read some where that you have to treat the filter(s) with oil? Is that true? Does the oil come with the filter or is that something I have to buy seperately?

Sorry for so many dumb questions, not having an owners manual really sucks.
