Mustamg seat

I sent this to Mustang [email protected]

Dear Sirs
I can not believe you dropped your product line on the
Kawasaki VN700/750. This bike was produced and sold for 21
years(1985-2006),virtually unchanged. There are quite a few of these bikes
on the road. The VN700/750 is a long lasting, durable motorcycle. There
would be a long list of people, looking for a replacement saddle, being the
longevity of the bike and the stock seats don't last forever. If you started the
product line again, even with just a few choices, I'm sure you it would be
worth your while.
Thank You for your time
Glenn A. Moorehead

and this was their response

Glenn,

We stopped making and selling seats and accessories for the 700 and 750 back
in 2005 due to very low demand. We have no intentions of bringing these
products back into production, sorry.
Thanks for your interest in Mustang.

I sent a similar letter 3 or 4 months ago and received a similar response...Makes me wonder if they got a lot of returns on them, because people mention they don't always fit quite right, out of the box. I would love to buy a new one.

That's the deal. One or two people sending them a note means nothing to them, but if 3 or 4 thousand emails hit their inbox, they might see the error in their way of thinking and possibly redesign a seat that fits better.

I'm game, Glenn. Here's my email I just sent:

Dear Sirs:

I have looked all over for a Mustang seat for my VN750 and was surprised to find that you dropped your product line on this motorcycle. This bike was produced and sold for 21 years(1985-2006), virtually unchanged, and there are a great many of these bikes still on the road as the VN700/750 is a long lasting, durable motorcycle.

I am a member of the VN750.com Web-site where there are over 4,000 Vulcan 700/750 enthusiasts, many of which have expressed an interest in purchasing a Mustang seat. I certainly would like to see you start the product line again, even with just a few choices, or even a single choice. I believe it would be worth your while, especially if there was little or no retooling necessary.

Thank you for your time and consideration,
David Farrar

It seems that Mustang, still makes and sells 700/750 seats for European market.

Mustang Europe
You can't order one from this site, unless you live in Europe, they say go to Mustangseats.com to order if you live US.. WTF

I emailed Mustang again with a reply to their email they sent me and asked why, I couldn't get one.
Since they are built in the USA and than sent to Europe for sale.

My brother lives in the UK. The only problem is the exchange rate right now on the US dollar is a little more than 2 to 1. We would pay through the nose. I could try to fill in his address with my email and see how much they are charging for one, then basically double the price.

I tried to send an E-mail to [email protected] and it bounced. So I wound up using their E-mail form at http://www.mustangseats.com/phpform/...ons/form1.html.
