Reassembly Help Needed....

All -

Since it has been about 4 years since I took my bike apart, the memory is a little fuzzy on some areas.

In particular, the area on the front right of the frame near the radiator cap. I have a brass colored piece of bent metal that somehow hooks into a hole on the frame then secures with a bolt on the other.

Can't remember how to put it ion and what it is supposed to retain.

If anyone has a picture of this area showing how this goes, I'd really appreciate it!

Thanks,
Jon

Wink

Sounds like the piece that holds the throttle cables close to the frame.

Sounds right, can't figure out how the thing gets attached. Got a picture of the area?

Thanks,
Jon

I'll walk out and look at mine, should be easy enough to describe. Back in a few....

Ok, I may be wrong on this. If that loom holds the throttle cables, it's under the neck cover on mine, because my cables are under the neck cover. Don't have time to pull the neck covers right now, sorry about that.

It's definitely under the neck cover. I'm not in a big hurry. It's been apart 4 years, another few days can't hurt.

Could you get this over the weekend?

Thanks,
Jon

On page 345 of the Clymer manual there's a picture displaying how it's connected. Hope this helps.

I know I have a shop manual and some other, not sure if it's Clymer's, but I'll check tonight.

Thanks!
