rattling on the bike

I have a rattling sound like a heat shield is loose on my bike but I can't find where it is loose. I have checked everything but nothing is loose. Any places y'all think might be causing this. I know this is a real stupid question as you aren't riding my bike to hear it.

It maybe coming from the rear but sounds like it is in the front.

Grace and Peace to you!
Richard

Garage
It could be your side covers, front neck cover, or any one of many cables that could be vibrating and contacting something else.
do you have a windshield on it?

I have had the same experience sometimes. Mine is more like a rattling/squeaking noise. I can usually only hear it at idle. Someone once mentioned maybe the bearings on the water pump.

I still haven't figured it out - but as far as I can tell it hasn't caused me any issues. I should record it sometime

yes same here, no problems running. It only does it when I first take off and ride in the lower gears, but again it could still be doing it while riding faster and the vibration is faster and the engine is louder and I can't hear it.

No I don't have a windshield.

Grace and Peace to you!

I used to hear a rattle all the time too. Then I finally realized it was the plate in my head. Darn titanium!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well I found one of the rattling. It was the bolt on the passengers foot pedal that has the washer on it. I tightened it up but found that at high speeds there is another rattling. Not my keys I checked that.

Grace and Peace to you!
