Rust Removal Without ACID or Electricty

I've been using acid to clean rust off of parts making sure I had enough baking powder on hand to neutralize the acid. I have a small dog and I have been extremely diligent. I cannot make any mistakes. So, I'm in Kmart the other day and there's a Gallon of Specialist Rust Remover Soak by WD40. If anyone has used it You'd have to agree it's amazing stuff. It was on sale for 18 dollars a gallon from 28 to 34 a gallon at amazon or other places.

It turns black when exhausted so you can keep using it over and over. Still amazed acid wasn't used and it's bio safe I had to find out what was in it. The MSDS had nothing on the chemical composition so I searched further and I found it.

It's called FMT. Check it out. I'm telling you it's amazing stuff. I let it set for 24 hrs and the part came out 98% clean. I don't know what the ratio is in the WD40 Specialist Rust Remover Soak for water and FMT but I bet it's cheaper to just buy pure FMT and experiemnt. I'm guessing you could cut your cost significantly. Do a search on for "FMT Soak" and low and behold WD40 Specialist Rust Remover Soak comes up.

Here's the link to FMT.
