Helmet poll

There is a poll on weather Helmets should be manditory.
Please go and vote, I do think it should be the riders choice.
In Illinois it is not a law but I do wear mine and it is my choice and I like it that way.
Scroll down to the bottom and vote.

It should be the rider's choice. I like to keep it that way, because sometimes I ride without a helmet with earplugs.

I unfortunetly believe that in any state that does not require motorcylists to wear helmets...that those living there should make the choice to wear one anyway. But I am willing to support their decision if they don't.

I however , in good conciousness , could never support a law that says you do not have to wear a helmet.

Sounds like a counterdiction, but it boils down "freedom of choice" , in that if you choose ME to make the rules, I'll pick ones I believe in.

So, I voted that they should be manditory.

I also think you should not be able to get a motorcycle licence until you pass a MSF course.

And that once you reach 65, you have to take the drivers test EVERY YEAR....

I prefer to wear a helmet, but I support the right for others not to have to wear them if they don't want to if they are over the age of 18. Yeah, it's kind of an age discrimination type thing, but once you are an adult you should be able to make your own choices.

BG...you might not be that smart, if you paid 600 bucks for a RF-1000. Anyway, wear a helmet. Do not tell me about "freedom of choice" , what do you know about safety? and who pays to support your braindamaged body when you end up in a "extended care" hospital (for life) ..ME, another taxpayer. Lets tell car companies to pull out the airbags, make cars out of lightweight metal so they not only get better gas mileage but crumple like soda cans in a crash. Lets stop spending money on crash testing too for that matter, cars will be cheaper. Take off all the idiot stickers on all the stuff that might hurt us...(yes, do not imerse electrical appliances in water....shouldn't everyone know that by now?) Give guns to anyone that wants one too. The government should not bother trying to protect us, as we do a bang up job on our own. But do remember if that airbagless car kills you or that hair dryer shocks you, you will no longer be allowed to sue anyone over it.. OG

I wear a helmet whenever I ride, but that is my choice and that is the way it should stay...my choice.
