Doc, what is actually involved in putting a 900 seat on the 750?? Been trying to dig up some research, but haven't quite found a forum that dumbs it down enough for me.

I just did a quick search and came up with this:

https://www.vn750.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27073

There's a link with pictures.

I have a 900 classic lt seat in good shape, no rips or scratches for 75 bucks. Pickup only.

while that is a good basic guide, there are differences in the seats appearently. my seat required me to fab a front tab for it, and fab 2 metal braces for the rear. Mine was off a 2010, and I think it was a 900 custom. the passenger pillion is very small and narrow compared to the one in the pictures in that thread linked.

I don't plan on having a rider, so back seat portion doesn't matter a whole lot. And, I live in maine...not many available seats for pick up near me. From what I've read, the vn900 seat sits you up closer...what would be a good seat to keep one a little distanced, but provides comfort?

To install, you just fab some metal brackets to attach to seat/frame/fender and build up a cross brace?
