Buying a 2001

I'm at it again, looking at a 2001 VN750 tonight black/silver. Might be coming home with me. This will be #5 if it does.

I'll post pics if/when I get it. Typical story, guy bought from someone at work and said it ran great. Over $800 dollars later in repairs, tires ect. the guys tired of it and wants it gone. Sounds like PO had pod filters on and didn't re-jet, ran like crap. They put the stock ears back on and new tires. Said it runs much better now. Should be an easy project.

You don't need to rejet with ear shave with stock pipes.

Right, looks like stock exhaust too, so I guess we'll see how it runs. Taking the voltage meter along to check charge on it. Probably sat awhile too. 1st thing I'll do is run some Seafoam in the tank and check the splines.
