What a wild month!!! Had to relocate and got lucky to find a place a bit more bike friendly and cat friendly. But I miss my cable connection (can't get it out there) so I haven't had time to install a modem let alone get slow dial-up service connected. Had a good friend change jobs and he got me in as his replacement. Getting used to day shift now after 7 years of 2nd/3rd. But the new job gives me time to check in again and catch up (low pressure/stress workplace)
Took the other woman out for a ride a few weeks back and got surprised when she shut off at highway speeds and wouldn't restart. After I got her home I check for charging and found it wasn't. Haven't determined if it's stator or r/r yet but it urged me to get the teardown done that it has been needed. I'm still thinking the PO that mutted this bike together screwed me, the lower end is definatly vn700 and the top end is vn750. Knowing the reputation, I think they still have the 700 pistons in the 750 jugs which would explain the oil blowby problem, I will get to the bottom of that one soon, but if anyone has a set of 750 pistons laying around I may need them.
Also due to employment change I have a bunch of hi-vis yellow T-shirts that I don't need if anyone is interested, I don't want them because of the company logo plastered on them.
Enough for now, time to get back to work, I will be checking back seeing as all my contact info is disconnected here.

I don't know what your financial situation is, but have you looked to see if there are any high-speed wireless providers in your area. It's line-of-sight service, so they have to put an antenna up on your house/apartment, but it works great. Otherwise, you can also get a Sprint cellular card for $30 and service is about $60/month for 3 megabits (twice the speed of a T1). Anyway, just a couple of things to check into.
2017 Indian Roadmaster (current ride)
2003 VN1600A (Traded August 2017 to #1 son for a Bushmaster AR)
2001 VN750 bought 4/19/08 w/2309 miles(Sold April 2010 with just over 12,000 miles)
Just when I thought I was winning the rat race, somebody moved the finish line!
Internet options for where I am in the middle of nowhere are slow dial-up or flaky satelite for $80 a month plus hook-up fees. Affordable but not worth the headaches. The sprint idea wouldn't be bad but the sprint phones I have now go dead looking for signal in the livingroom in a few hours, that will be changing in the next few months and I'll look into that option.
