WON'T IDLE WHEN COLD

Hi Guys,

Forgive me for this but this question is infact about a Vulcan 800 (uk model)
when the bike starts from cold it pops and bangs until its warmed up then its ok,
it does have an after market air filter on it but its has had new jets as well (or so I am told)
anyone got any ideas what it could be?

Thanks

Chris.

well, the vulcan 800 and vulcan 750 (this forum specializes in the 750) are 2 completely different bikes (except for the manufacturer).

im sure someone here will probably be able to help you out though

Garage
Let it warm up. Vulcans don't like to run cold.
You might need a larger pilot jet.....sounds like it's running a bit lean.

You using the choke to warm it up?

Choke not working right? Have to keep mine on about halfway for a few minutes to keep the idle up.

Run a dose of seafoam to clean the carb circuits?
