filling in the gaps after an ear shave

So I'm wondering what you guys did to fill in the holes after an ear shave?
I did mine last fall and while getting it ready for the year it just looks like it needs
Something .

Any ideas? Pics?

Have my crankcase filter on one of the bolts for the right side ear. That's it.

Some have considered turning the ears into storage, not sure if anyone actually did so.

right side of my bike is open. left side has the breather filter attached where one of the ear bolts was.

I have seen pics someplace where someone kept the ears (removed the airbox tho) and has the breather filter in left side ear. basically an ear shave with the ears reinstalled for looks

I liked how it opened up access to the top of the engine. Haven't had to wrench on it, but cleaning is a lot easier. Also like the visual of the front head exposed, there's no doubting it's a v-twin.

One night, sitting at a stoplight, I saw some wisps of smoke go past the headlight. I thought, oh no what the heck. Then I remembered I had that crankcase filter right by the neck. Not a problem at all.

I've been lazy and haven't put my filter back on after the engine pull, saw that panic'd then went aww **** and started laughing.
