Question Some help to keep my bike going strong!

Im new to the forum and am super grateful for all the help Ive got from all you guys. I just recently got my bike and have been working on her to make sure she lasts me a long time . I got her with 17k miles. Shes a 2004 with saddle bags, windshield, cruise control, and highway pegs. Ive already changed the brake fluid, oil, oil filter, coolant, and transmission oil. I just want to make her awesome and make sure she lives long!
so! I would like your help! What are some of the main things I should do to her to make her run like a champ and to keep her going strong?
I got the Cruzers and am gonna install those once I get them, I also plan on getting the k&n air filters, I dont really feel like doing the ear shave....
But If i do the pipes and air filters do I need to rejet?
I also got that coffee grinder sound in the mornings
My rear tire has a leak... can I spray some stuff inside of it to help it? Or is it a lost cause and I need to just buy a new tire?
Any cool/easy/not-so-expensive mods I could do to her?
sorry about the long post.
I apreciate any response!
Thanks!

Welcome to the nuthouse.do the spline lube, read the Vulcan verses, and just ride her.you probably will need to rejet with the earshave AND exhaust (I said probably as a disclaimer as all bikes are different and don't wanna hear" I've put 350,000 miles on mine without rejetting ).as for the leaky rear tire only way I'd put a sealer in it is if I wasn't planning to be around long.find out why and where it's leaking.might be the valve stem.might be the bead .might just be a dead tire.I know $100 something bucks might sound like a lot,but if ya save that how ya gonna spend it if yer dead?but enjoy.these bikes are a lotta fun.post up where you're from.we might have a member nearby to help ya a little.

Doc I think he means the drop in filters not cones. He shouldn't have to jet if that's the case, but every bike is different and yours might need a tweak. Only way to tell is ride it a bit and check the plugs. X2 on the spline lube.

Inexpensive mods:
R/R relocation
drill the clutch basket (going to need new gasket for this one though)
Anything cosmetic

if you drill the clutch basket per the instructions here on the forum you should not have the coffee grinder sound anymore. Mine only rarely gets it so I've never bothered to mod my basket.

Hey M_Angell, whats the R/R relocation? Is that relocating the rear blinkers? I'd actually love to do that, they get in the way of my saddlebags.... sorry, but I dont know where to start if I were to do that :/ What kit would/should I get?

The regulator/rectifier(voltage regulator)which is mounted under the battery. Yes the best time to do the splines is when the rear wheel is off.

I don't have a back seat on mine so removed the rear footpegs and ground off the mounts and re-polished them and mounted the blinkers there
