I know its been said before....but
It bares repeating.
I picked up my 92 vn750 about four months ago (My first vulcan). Following advice from this board, I relocated the R/R, cleaned all the battery boil from the frame, and repainted the damage. Fixed the faulty ignition switch by step-by-step instructions from this forum but lagged on one thing.
This afternoon I mounted the new MF Battery and took the bike for a spin.
Intermit miss at low RPM's - GONE
Rough running at all RPM's - GONE
Hot start problem and backfire - GONE
She rides like a brand new machine. Still a slight backfire on throttle down, but the coasters I'm installing next week should handle that annoyance.
For the new members, take the advice from the sages and get that MF battery. You won't be sorry......
Respects and safe riding.....The Cassack
