DT-Great shot...... I try to keep at least my P&S camera with me at all times when I ride, you never know, if I feel like there may be some really good scenery I will carry the DSLR in the rear bag... That was a great shot, thanks for shareing...

I rember that veiw from when I lived in Seattle. I would take my old 78 honda cx500 and just ride around the area. Its beautifull up there just the rain is such a bummer. If seattle had california weather it would be paradise.

Ahh.... but the rain is part of what makes it so beautiful (or at least that's what we tell ourselves during the rainy season to somehow make the rain bearable).

Of course - it rains even more in seattle than it does here in the valley (I'm about 4 hours/ 240 mi south of seattle)...

Thanks for the comments, Wa is a great state for rural rides especially in the spring with the forest scents and scenery. I often ride my GL500 on longer rides - more comfortable (single seat) than the VN - and a bigger tank.

FYI - Watch out for those Deer.

Pic was taken with point and shoot cheap Kodak for you camera types.

There is a paved forest service road up the East side of Mt. St. Helens, over 200 tight curves in 6 miles! Only open about 3 months out of the year, but when it is...that's some good ridin'!

Is that the cut-off from Randle on the way to Camp Cispus that connects back to Woodland Wa? That's going to be one of my summer camping trips this year.
