Ok after cleaning gas tank out with vinegar, added used starter clutch, changed oil and coolant. New plugs and wires. Charged battery. Let rings sit in atf and acetone. And cleaned grounds.

Bike fired right up. How freaking cool is that.

Does it make any strange noises or smoke? I wonder what the compression is. If the engine was locked up because the rings were stuck in the bores, there is likely some damage from that. But hey, if it runs, ride it.

I am a motorcyclist, NOT a biker.

I don't believe it was ever locked up because the starter clutch was bad. But I did add the atf just to be sure. it did smoke because the cleaner I put in the gas. it doesn.t have any air cleaners on it yet but when I cover the carb I can rev it up and it seems to respond well. But I need to clean out master cylinder/ calipers and any other fluids I need to change. Also some new tires then i'll take it out.

Needs more work but I can't wait to ride it. it smokes smoked for a while burning the fluid in the pipes and I have cleaner in gas hopefully I wont have to take carbs off but I might anyways.
