Re: The new Mod Poll

Most of us didn't want moderators a year ago. Since the moderators were forced upon us the site has gone downhill drastically and we have lost the majority of the older and more experienced VN 750 owners. We had no problem policing ourselves prior to the moderators. I say you should have a poll first as to whether we want moderators again or not.

I've got this to say about that, at least one person on the list was one maybe two of the ones crying about a bunch of moderators.

I guess it's different if you wanted to be one and no one asked way back when.

This is soooo entertaining.....fot years spammers and hackers came in...nothing was done....trolls ran rampant......want that back ?.....

I used to spend a good 8 hrs/day here....cleanin up the crap so all you could have a nice place.....\

I come here at most 2x/week now....mostly just to reply to PMs...if ya want NO MODS sooooooooo bad, get off yer butt and write to the board owners.....duhhhh.....the board was bought....get over it....it aint the same unless ya wanna start yer own.....if ya wanna stay, ya go by the new owner's rules.....its THAT simple....I was REALLY lenient when I was a mod (admins worked with me)....I think we should let the admins take over and enforce all the rules fully.....then all the whiners will see what its really like....I personally dont care, as Ive been shunning the internet almost completely lately......I cared a lot about this place at one time....its neither here nor there with me now....my biggest loss would be those Ive gotten close to, and helping fledgelings fly......

Incredible as to what a small handful of (barely active)disruptives can do.....if ya let the worms in, they'll eat you from inside.....

Ummm....mods aren't going anywhere. Weather you like it or not there are going to be moderators to do some of the upkeep the forum requires. I (speaking as a moderator) am not here simply to watch members and make sure you all play nice.

Frankly, I could care less what most of you say to one another because I know must of you are mature enough to resolve situations yourselves. There is the occasional situation that blows up and I need to step in, that's fine. Then there are the countless PMs I get complaining about what someone said to someone else. When I get a PM I feel that I am obligated to act and I do to the best of my ability.

Moderators also need to keep the spam posts out and keep bogus accounts at bay. There is a lot to do behind the scenes and that is why we are looking for more mods.

I agree with Mike. the mods aren't here to babysit full grown adults. there's tons of things they do.sometimes i pay attention to the new member section on the bottom and you'd be suprised how many a week are removed as spammers.i know i don't need this site flooded with viagra and "watch turner and hootch"ads.

That's pretty much what it should be like.

If mods work like this, everything can just run its course as it used to.

...there was a mass spammer outta Paris, France....them girlie members (got got yer gonads boilin Doc, i know)....I got rid of that crap......nobody else saw it.....next thing wouldda been balet tutus in the adverts.....and pink leggins....

Honestly....I wish the whiners wouldd hit the road....it IS what it IS....ya dont like it, beat feet......why cant ya get that ?....the board has a new owner with set rules....ya dont like em, find another place....whats so difficult ????...ya either deal with it "as is"....or dont let the door slam ya in the ass on the way out.....that was stated more than a year ago.....are some of you disabled and brain dead ?....cant read ????.....

I left as a mod for personal issues....but i still back all the staff here 100% and have an open invite to return (dont hold yer breath).....
Why cant the lil kiddies here be adults about it and accept things as they are ?....if ya cant ?......LEAVE......

There were mods back then already. They just did their job without announcing it to the world every day, and just let us be. Remember Diana?
