How hot??

How high do you notice your temp gauge going during operation?

I am wondering if my bike is running to hot at times when I have to deal with traffic in town or stop and go areas. I have noticed that the temp needle goes up over the half way point if I am in these type of scenarios so I figured I'd get some input from you guys.

here in steamy sw florida my bike will occasionally get over 50% on the gauge in stop/go situations.. my fan does cycle on and off at around 50% tho. as soon as I get some airflow thru the radiator, it drops to just under 50%

That's normal. IN SC on 100 degree days it's 3/4's to red or better at several lights.

same in texas hot days it rides at 50% on the highway and if i get stuck in traffic 75%is normal but if your tap red its bad for bidness anything under red in traffic is fine she will chill out when you get her in the wind but be warned that fan if working right will get you a good bit of leg sweat going on a hot day in traffic

This question has been asked a few times on here, and the general answer is that below red you're ok. I live in a place where we get upwards of 120 degrees in the summer. I have seen that needle go up near the red many, many times.

No need to be. I wasn't implying that you shouldn't have asked. I'm just saying that I'm taking into account those other posts when I type my answer.

Honestly, I never get any good results with the search option on this forum, ,so I definitely understand if someone doesn't find what they need and just have to ask again.
