Aftermarket STATORS?

Well I am pretty sure that my problem with my bike is my stator... Saturday I went out to the garage to try to start my bike and i got absoultely nothing no clicks, no lights, no nothing, the battery was 120% drained.

Is there a website or Place to go to get an aftermarket STATOR??? Or if i get the OEM one will I still be having a Problem???

Electosport sells aftermarket stators for 119 plus 15 for shipping and handling. 1 year warranty.

Rick's sells theirs for 140 plus shipping. 6 month warranty http://www.ricksmotorsportelectrics....p?c=partLookup

A stock stator from Ron Ayers runs about 285 plus shipping. The stock stators are junk so I won't link the site here.

Neither Rick's nor Electrosport need the old stator so you can order the new one while pulling the old one.

Hope this helps.

Rick's stators have a 1 year warranty same as most others
"We offer a One (1) year warranty on all parts (except CDI boxes). "
I have yet to hear of a bad stator from Rick's.
I would avoid Electosport (formerly Electrex)

Do the stator check first, twice really, once with a cold engine and then again after the engine has warmed up good.
Of course if you get bad readings with a cold engine the sevond test isn't needed.

Unplug and test the three yellow stator wires;
they should be .34 to .52 ohms between any
combination of the yellow wires, with no shorts to

If the stator check out good, it's a short somewhere probably or a bad CDI or fuse fuse box.
A bad ground wire or loose battery cable will drain your battery even while you are riding.

I installed a Rick's and it is a well made item. Been around transformers for decades, this one is made right.
