messin with the stock seat

ok, i debated on makin a solo out of it but i think im gonna shoot for more of a corbin gunfighter look.

got the cover taken off, foam shaved down...

now. i have 2 questions.

1.) where do i get new vinyl to cover it? i assume we would use some sort of weather-proof/water resistant marine vinyl or somethin.

anyone just recover theirs with normal apolstery vinyl? hows it holding up? did ya waterproof it?

2.) can i just stretch one piece of vinyl over the seat and staple it down or is this gonna require more of a sewing operation lik the stock seat.

this is about what im goin for. btw.

I wish it was that easy

DIY custom seat is difficult. If you want it to look good, take your pan to a upholstery shop and let them do it. There's a reason a Corbin costs $350. A neighbor of mine did custom work out of his garage and it takes a lot of skill.

Good luck if you do it yourself, post pics and a follow up too.

I used the same cover that it came with. An upholstrey shop should have what you need.
