Hey guys, new to the forum (for some reason I cannot see any threads on any page, kind of weird..).
A little back story on the bike. The gentleman who owned it was my fiance's grandmother's brother, and he loved his bike with all his heart, the bike was IMMACULATE! 25k miles. 6 years ago he took apart the bike to fix the cooling fan, and was soon diagnosed with cancer, 4 years ago he passed away. The bike was then transported to the grandparents house since his side of the family couldn't take care of it.
It was supposed to be fixed up and given to my fiance to ride, but i bought her another bike to start on, and like most projects, was forgotten. There is sat for another 2 years.
In the end I was given the bike since they wanted their garage space back, and I'm excited to start a new project! I currently own a klx351 and an xt225, now I own a 1982 Kawasaki Vulcan 750!
Here it is yesterday just before I brought it out of their garage.
It of course needs new tires, new brake components, the carbs cleaned and synced up, new fork oil, new engine oil, new battery, and the radiator fan.
I am mechanically inclined, and would love for the experts to chime in on things I should check besides what I listed above. This will be my first bike to work on that I don't have to worry about being down for transportation, so any suggestion is welcome
(I'll post url pics after 5th post)
