454 miles on the clock and looks darn near perfect, except for the price!

[/SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] The mini-skirt is a very functional article of clothing. With it a woman can run much faster; and because of it she may have too.

Yeah that price is a bit steep! They have in mind what they paid for it, and don't want to take too big of a loss. Trouble is, if the miles are that low on it, its probably been sitting for most of the past 8 years. I've put more miles than that on mine since I bought it...last month!

You or I should go talk some sense into them, Tofer. Or better yet, have one of us tell him what it is really worth, then the other one go lowball him and see what happens lol

Based on the low miles and otherwise great condition, I'd say it should be listed around $2500. It's in great shape, but is lacking a number of desirable items that would make it worth more - wind screen, engine guard, extended backrest and luggage rack. If it had all of those items, it would be up around $3k IMHO.

it does have a windscreen. but not others.

In my humble opinion, thats a time bomb... as said before, its sat for a very long time... I wouldnt be surprised if the stator goes soon after it hits regular service, and if the stator dont go, the balance dampers probably will (wouldnt be surprised if they are dry rotting in the crankcase)

I bought my 03 a few years ago with 3000 miles on the clock ($2700) so it had sat most of it's life. Currently at 22,000 miles and I have only needed to rebuild the petcock. I suspect that bike's good for a lot of riding but only for less than $2800. Too many bikes in my area around 750 size selling for less than $2600.

454 miles in all those years? Hell, I just bought my new bike 2 weeks ago and already put over 1k miles on it. Did the 600 mile first service on it less then a week after I bought it.

......I'd rather wake up in the middle of nowhere then in any city on earth.
