Unhappy Scary burst of acceleration

I'll twist the throttle and it will be kinda of halfassed then BOOM the throttle kicks in where it should be sending me for a scary jump. Put sea foam through it and it didn't seem to help. I'm thinking my carb needs cleaned possibly cause I'm also not getting the mpg I should be getting either.

Do you have the stock intake system? If so, find the vent tube that connects to the right side air box, pull it out, cut the end at a 45 degree angle, reinsert (but not too far) and see what that does. If you have pod filters, then I recommend attaching the vent tube to the plastic cap under the gas tank, and seeing if that helps.

I didn't make a good user name and I can't change it, so please call me Nate.
