Wind Noise

So, I was riding home from picking up my new/used willie and max saddle bags when I decided that my ass needed a break, But I didn't want to stop(Limited Time Frame). So I stood up. WOW! What a differance in wind noise! It was so much quieter! If I was only an 8' tall guy I'd be sitting just right. Just for refference I ware my helmet all the time so that will affect wind noise, But I was amazed. A guy standing at 70mph has less wind drag than the bike!

describe drilling exahust. I was thinking about it, but wasn't sure how much or where to do it. I have cobra pipes now, but don't like the sound and they are too loud for some family members.

Are you thinking of drilling the Cobra pipes? I don't know alot about them other than there loud now (Over stock). I would have loved to put pipes like those or the V&H but my accountant's (Wife) budget said no! So I drilled my stalk exhaust. Basicly a 3/8" hole drilled into the end of your mufflers baffle, repeating the hole all the way around. I would describe the sound as nice and toned when you get on it and fairly quiet (Louder than stalk but more quiet than aftermarkets) when your just riding.

For my origional post search Exhaust Drilled
