Buying this Vulcan 750 (maybe)

Hi guys,

I have placed a small bid on this bike, but am seriously considering putting a high bid to get it. What do you guys think I should set my max bid at? What do you think it's worth? I've never purchased a vehicle off of Ebay before, but this is only a few hours from where I live, and it looks good to me at the right price. What do you guys think?

I can't post a link as of yet because of my post count, so I will tell you what the search is on you tube. Search for "1994 Kawasaki VN 750 Vulcan " and it will come up. it is a video by motordreams and was posted within the past 20+ hours.

Please check it out and let me know what you guys think. ( did notice it sounds like the carbs need to be sync'd and maybe cleaned up a little)

Thanks, James

Personally if I was looking to buy that I wouldn't go over $1,000.00 The gauges could be cleaned up pretty easily, the seat could be replace with another stock one for about $50 or so and the tool box cover comes up on ebay a lot for about $25 to $45 bucks. So as long as there's not a problem with the charging system you should be safe with that. If you want to weed out some of the bidders then start at $600 or $700 max bid.

I think shark gave a fare assessment giving we don't know the mileage or history of the bike. It looks pretty clean along with a windshield, which is a bonus, after market grips probably worth about $30 and an aftermarket mac exhaust which in my opinion I don't like em but others do. Did not notice anything wrong with the carbs, sounds ok to me. I paid $1300 for mine, it was 100% stock with about 13k on her.

That's not the right link, same year different bike. What's wrong with the seat? I noticed the toolbox is missing but the seat looks clean.

OK that's the only one I see on ebay right now. Am I missing something?

That's the only one I see on eBay also. Did you watch the vid? The bike in the vid has windshield, aftermarket exhaust & hand grips + missing tool box. The one on eBay looks mostly stock (crash bar & ext backrest). Same year ,looks like same color, maybe the owner put it back to stock I dunno, lol.

I wouldn't buy a bike off eBay. If you can't drive and see it in person, you're taking a huge chance.

Don't know where you live, but I'd your looking for a bike to local first.

Hes only a couple hrs away. Basically by bidding on eBay like this your basically winning a bid to be the first buyer at a set price. If the bike is in worse condition then how its posted on eBay he just doesn't pay, simple as that.
