Inspection

Anyone know what the general attitude is for inspecting modified motorcycles? I have the stuff for the ear shave, but am concerned about removing emissions system.

Is this something to be concerned about, or no?

State is RI by the way

They don't do emissions test here for motorcycles. Only a safety inspection every two years.

My suggestion is to call a place that does the testing and ask....

Just called Razees, a place here in southern RI. They say no emissions, and apart from normal safety inspection they look at exhaust - - no straight pipes allowed. Looks like I'm good!

You can ride a methane farting unicycle here in South Carolina. We have no inspection at all! WHEW HEW, still a free state! er...kind of.

Yeah, here in Michigan there are no inspections of any kind. Sounds like a real hassle.

I'm actually in favor of periodic safety inspections. I've seen some cars/trucks that shouldn't be on the road. Bad enough to deal with crazy stupid drivers, but adding unsafe vehicles ain't a help.

And I'll also add they should have a $5000 fine for anyone driving a pick up truck that doesn't secure EVERYTHING in an open truck bed.... So far just this year I've had to dodge an ice cooler, a 5 gallon bucket, and large tarp.
